Shaler Library is working with Erin McMaster, a Memory Care Advisor from Promedica Memory Care, to host free monthly sessions for persons who are caring for or supporting a loved one with Alzheimer’s, Dementia, or other cognitive/memory issues.

Bring your knitting or crochet projects and join us for an hour of fellowship and information sharing. Want to learn to knit or crochet? We are happy to get you started!

Please join us in celebrating Poetry Month with a variety of local poets reading from their works. Come support poetry read aloud and enjoy great company. You'll laugh, sigh, and probably recognize some of these same moments in your life.

Join Miss Libby after-hours in the library for a relaxing evening of weaving fun! We will choose a design, make our own cardboard loom, and use it to create an easy and unique woven creation. And there will be snacks!

Phonological & print awareness, letter knowledge, & more! Great for 18 months through 3 1/2 years with a caregiver!  

Stories we can sing along and songs we can jam to, with new instrument every week! For ages 18 months - 3 1/2 years with a caregiver, though all are welcome. No registration required. 

Bring your lunch, and we’ll supply the drink and great fun as we explore stories and crafts each week for ages 4, 5, and 6 without a caregiver. Please register.
