Join Master Naturalists for interactive sessions about Nature. For adults, ages 16 and up.

In this workshop we will examine plants growing in and around our yards, both native and invasive. We will look at which parts are edible and (depending upon their availability) we will have some samples to taste!

 About our presenters:

Pat Milliken has a Master’s Degrees in biology and special education and has taught for 32 years, including courses in Biology and Environmental Science. Her teaching philosophy and practices include engaging students in programs offered by community organizations and educational institutions. Her love for nature merges with the art of photography as a hobby and a way to document backyard and field observations.

Gil Pielin taught for 41 years including classes on biology, anatomy, physiology, chemistry, math, general, physical, and environmental science. He is a past president of the Western PA Biology Teacher Association. Gil was selected Environmental Teacher of the year in 2007.
